Hire me (or at least take a look at my new portfolio)
Update (7/15/05): Thanks everyone, but I’m no longer looking for a job. As of June 1, I’m an interaction designer at FeedBurner.
* * *This is probably a good time to announce that like Amy and Mike and so many others, I am on the market. The job market, that is. With graduation approaching, I am looking for full-time employment in Chicago starting this summer.
What I want to be when I grow up
Although I’ve dabbled in most things related to the web, my focus is and always has been design. Specifically, web interface design, and that’s where I am focusing my job search. As my résumé says, I am a “skilled web designer and communication problem-solver with more than three years professional experience,” and that’s true. (I wouldn’t lie.)
I’ve created web sites and designed web-based applications for wonderful clients like the University of Wisconsin (CALS, to be exact), the Badger Herald, and Partners in Place. In the process, I’ve solved a lot of problems, eliminated a lot of headaches, and gotten pretty good at figuring out how to help people reach their goals with the web.
And now, I am happy to report I have a proper portfolio of recent work. Astonishingly, all of the pieces in this portfolio are from the past 9 months — I’ve been incredibly busy with some exciting projects.
(Of course, if you have questions or comments about my portfolio, let me know. If you know someone who happens to be head of a great agency in Chicago (or something), let them know.)
